The Game Design master of science program prepares you for a specialized role in the gaming industry by teaching the skills needed to contribute to multidisciplinary development teams. The coursework focuses on user experience research, production and design. You’ll choose a track that allows you to focus on your chosen area of expertise, whether that’s working as a user experience researcher, producer, or game designer to create and publish games, or specializing in a genre or industry niche to evaluate and enhance existing real-world products.

In Full Sail’s Game Art program, you’ll learn to create 3D content to suit any game, no matter the mood, genre or platform.

The Game Design bachelor of science program, designed to enhance your ability to work in a game studio environment, is comprised of high-level game design and production courses that will take you deep into the game development pipeline. The process of developing a game is an exceptional game in and of itself. It’s a pursuit in which the end goal is not discovered but created, step by step, by a team of talented programmers, engine builders and designers. Full Sail University’s Game Development bachelor of science degree program guides students through the entire game development cycle, from preproduction to finished product. Your education will enhance your ability to create program code for 3D graphic display, multiplayer gaming, artificially intelligent opponents and real-time virtual environments.

From implementing crowd scenes in a movie or television commercial to creating vast landscapes for a video game, artists use computer graphics in nearly every aspect of today’s entertainment industry. Full Sail University’s Computer Animation bachelor of science degree program guides students through the same production pipeline used in professional studios, from storyboarding, sketching and visual development to modeling and character animation, and final compositing.

Visual messaging is about much more than aesthetics; it’s also about behavior and identity. Art can influence consumers, build bridges between individuals and organizations, and inspire conversation. The Digital Arts & Design bachelor of science degree program provides a comprehensive look at the entire design process—from concept to creation and from presentation to implementation. Throughout the curriculum, you’ll explore the foundational elements of 2D and 3D art theory, utilize hardware and software used by current design professionals and hone your own eye for visual messaging.

The Audio Arts certificate program introduces students to the world of independent audio creation, giving them the basics they need to enter the audio industry. Students build foundational knowledge of the audio production process as they develop skills in recording, music creation, editing and sequencing. The program also focuses on professional development training and techniques to help students enhance their credentials and marketability in the audio industry.

ESPORTS

Full Sail Armada is Full Sail University’s collegiate esports organization. With the support and involvement of Full Sail University students, faculty, staff and graduates, Full Sail Armada teams compete across a variety of games throughout the year, including Overwatch, League of Legends, Valorant and more. We host tournaments, friendly get-togethers, and travel for competitive play—all with the mission of bringing competitive gamers together.
