Buena Vista University Esports

The BVU Esports program focuses not only on competition but also on building practical skills. Learn and develop skills in problem-solving, communication, team-building and integrated learning. These experiences can help you in your career and life! Buena Vista University has added esports to its roster of competitive teams and programs in the Spring of 2020. Playing in our new Esports Arena and competing in leagues based through the National Association of Collegiate Esports, New England Collegiate Conference, PlayVs and Collegiate Star League allows for a dynamic and fun gaming experience!

Facilities

BVU has an 850 square foot arena that has 12 gaming PCs along with PS4, XBOX, Switch and Wii. The new space has new lighting, carpet, paint and signage. The space also has areas for meetings and hanging out. All computers and gaming systems are hardwired in which allows for a top-of-the-line gaming experience.

Scholarships

BVU has scholarships available for students that are not only interested in competing in esports but interested in building a culture and working as a team to become one of the top programs in the Midwest.

Work-Study/Internship Opportunities

The Esports program has work-study and internship opportunities: helping with broadcasts and streams, marketing, graphic design, and assisting in the development of academic programming.
